Promoting Your Real Estate Website Part 12- Offline promotion

A lot of online based businesses forget about offline advertising. It is important to combine offline and online advertising together in your marketing campaign. This will give you to a more well rounded approach to promoting as well as attract potential prospects and customers you might not otherwise get.

1. Free promotion

a.  Marketing collateral

Marketing collateral is a term used for printed materials used to present information about your real estate professional services. It can include brochures, fliers, fact sheets, direct mail pieces and other communications items. All of your printed pieces should be in tune with your overall marketing message and company image.

Do not forget to include the URL to your website. In all your offline advertising, you should include your web site address, e-mail or autoresponder addresses, and your phone number.

Tip: Add an action request, such as "Search all area homes for sale anytime." Or change "anytime" to "24/7".

b. Balloons

Use balloons at the open house. Print an action slogan on the balloon along with your website's address. An action slogan is very important, otherwise people will not know what the URL is for.

c.  Home for sale signage

Your "For Sale" front lawn or directional signs for the open house should have your web site address on them.

d.  Community bulletin boards

Post your business cards at minimum in grocery stores, libraries, community centers. Create tear off tabs small fliers that fit within their requirements with an action request and your URL.

e. Bumper stickers and auto stickers

A catchy slogan and your URL are excellent components of a sticker.

f.   License plate frames

g.   Mouth to mouth advertising

Familiarize customers with your website address in ALL conversations.

2. Paid promotion

a. Paid advertising at local TV and newspapers

Place classified ads in newspapers. Local newspapers often have great advertising rates that you can take advantage of to promote your business.

Buy time on local cable T.V. It is surprisingly affordable. If you already have paid advertisements, you should not forget to add your URL.

b. Direct mail

A nice direct mail piece when done consistently over a period of time can bring tremendous exposure for your business. The biggest benefit of direct mail is it allows you to reach thousands of people at a bulk mail rate. You could not do this if you had to mail each piece individually.

c.  Fliers

You could place them in computer stores, libraries, restaurants, car windshields, or anywhere you shop that allows fliers.

d. Transit ads – metro, buses, cabs

Your opinion is the key to delivering valuable content. Please rate this article.
