1. Keywords
One of the main rules in a ranking algorithm involves the location and frequency of keywords on a web page. Call it the location/frequency method, for short. For your website, examples of keywords would be: real estate, agent, realtor, broker, home, listing etc.
Search engines have methods to detect spammers, so filling up your content with keywords won't help.
2. "Off the page" factors
All major search engines also make use of "off the page" ranking criteria. "Off the page" factors cannot be easily influenced.
· The most important factor is link analysis. By analyzing how pages link to each other, a search engine can both determine what a page is about and whether that page is deemed to be "important" and thus deserving of a ranking boost.
· Another "off the page" factor is clickthrough measurement. In short, this means that a search engine may watch what results someone selects for a particular search, then eventually drop high-ranking pages that aren't attracting clicks, while promoting lower-ranking pages that do pull in visitors.
· A special factor is the Google patented Pagerank™ system which focuses on the quality and the number of sites that contain links to yours.
Bottom line is, you need to optimize your website for search engines in order to make a high rank on a search page. Since NetReal has already optimized the design of the webpage, you only need to work on the content.
Search engines take from 30 to 90 days to index a website. During this time a new website will not show on a search page. This process is dependent only on the search engines.
Also, your site might not rank well from the beginning even if the website optimization process is faultless. This is called the "sandbox" effect and it applies especially to Google search results. Basically, your website is on probation and Google won't give it an authority status (and a high ranking) until you're proven you're not a spammer and your website is a serious, high quality resource.
