Printing techniques

[ by Karen Nodalo ]
If you are new to printing, some tips might be of great help to you. You don't have to run through a lot of pains that you will encounter if you decide to print for yourself. Of course, you may not be as perfect as expected but there are ways to improve your handling. If you are using PhotoShop, keep your color settings to a higher mode like 8 or even higher.

Always set it up at the highest resolution because it will definitely bring out great colors and prints. Make sure before you print out, you are most sure that the work you have done is really ready for printing. Inks are truly expensive today so it is not proper to waste your prints especially the colored ones.

Try to even out your designs and make sure it all goes well before you call your printer. Your printer might not be as friendly as saving every ink printed on paper. Well sometimes, even If you are most sure that your design is ready for printing, what if your printer is not? You can try it by test printing.

Printing one try for the first print wouldn't hurt a bit. At least you won't have to put all your print works to crap the time you finish but finds out the printer cut loose with the job. Make sure if you want to test print, don't print the whole stuff because you will definitely overdo and it will just be a waste of ink.

If you print two types which is the Black and white printing and color printing, they have two different settings so if you are having both, it would be very appropriate if you provide yourself with two printers, one for black and white and another for the colored pages.

Changing the settings every other time might cause some waste to your printing so have two to work for your printing differently. You will not have to change the settings every other time. This causes the settings to change or might sometimes be confusing to you.

Paper quality is also considered in printing. Some printers require a special type of paper but for the common printers available, you need to position correctly the paper to the printer. Do not feed it with bundles of paper that exceeds the allowance. Make sure it still has space to breathe in air.

These are but few tips but they make sense. So don't just print.

Karen Nodalo came across writing when she was about 11. The whole craze for writing started when she first wrote her diary during elementary years. After school, she would write in it first before doing homework. She finds it cool and until now she still keeps one.
